Samburu is indeed in the Rift Valley Province, bordered by the Ewaso Nyiro River. The area is 165 km², about 345 km from Nairobi. The ecological zone V classification is correct for arid regions. The temperatures and rainfall data seem accurate, with peaks in November and April. The dry season from May to October is when wildlife congregates near the river.
